Print University offers the most extensive online training program in the printing industry. It is high-quality, online training right at your desk...in the office, at home, at your own pace, when you have the time, individually or in a group, day or night.
Print University offers e-learning modules of several varieties.
Some industry sessions (basic) use a blended learning approach combining traditional reading assignments, CDs, and DVDs with the online modules. Other reference materials are provided depending on the module. At the end of each module, students may take a self quiz to reinforce the material presented. These modules are designed for the individual student.
Other e-learning sessions are suitable for individuals or a group. These sessions do not come with additional materials, nor are quizzes involved. Some of these sessions are archived versions of previously held live web seminars.
Web seminars allow you to watch a presentation on your computer screen and listen to a speaker via telephone, as well as ask questions. Live web seminars keep you up to date with industry technology and current "hot" topics.
Print University offerings select sessions in Podcast format. Podcasts are audio files that are automatically delivered directly to your desktop computer, and can be transfered to your iPod or other portable audio MP3 player. Educational sessions and Print Solutions magazine articles are available.
Product Application Sessions help distributors learn about manufacturers' products and how to sell these unique solutions to their customers. Sessions can also be used to help new sales personnel acquaint themselves with the industry.
These free, online programs include audio and allow those viewing the session to go directly to the manufacturer's website or email a company representative for more information.
The majority of the Print University online modules were produced using Macromedia Flash®. Most browsers already have a built-in plug-in to handle this file format. If neccesary, visit the Macromedia website to download the latest plug-in.
Some of the Industry Sessions and Product Application sessions were produced using Microsoft Producer®. Requirements for this format are Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, Netscape Navigator 7.0 or later, or Internet Explorer 5.2.2 for Mac (*Beginning 01/31/06 Internet Explorer for the Mac is no longer available for download from Microsoft.).
For podcast sessions you will needpodcast software such as iTunes, iPodder, RSSRadio and iPodderX.
